Subject: good,bad,ugly of tournaments

I had a suggestion from a tournament organizer to start a thread regarding
posative and negative experiences at tournaments.

I thought this sounded interesting so, here it goes:

Do you have specific stories or ideas regarding good and/or bad
experiences at tournaments?

Some good things that I have heard are:

Fair pairing of opponents.
Well organized. Rules layed out and adhered to.
Extra activities included.
Good, close lodging

Some bad things:

Unmatched opponents
Rules not adhered to
Teams leaving early
No trophies

etc...

I think this could help would-be tournament planners for the future.
