Subject: Summer Hockey Camps

I really screwed up and never got around to sending the application for the
Dartmouth Camp for my 13 almost 14 year old daughter. They are now full.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a competitive 2 week residential
summer camp that is east of the Mississippi? It would save my life.

Thanks

Debbie

Rickard Becomes Fourth Women*s Hockey Signee

Madison, Wis. - Head Wisconsin women*s ice hockey coach Julie Sasner announced today that Karen Rickard (Bowmanville, Ont.) has signed a national letter of intent to play ice hockey for the Badgers. Rickard will attend the University of Wisconsin beginning in the fall of 2000 and brings this year*s recruiting class to four.
Rickard, a right-handed right winger, currently plays for the North York Junior Aeros *AA* team, one of the top squads in Canada. With the Junior Aeros, Rickard has seen action against some of the top U.S. collegiate hockey teams, recording an assist this past season against national runner-up Brown in an exhibition contest. She also took part in exhibitions against Harvard, Providence and Niagara.
Prior to her time with the Aeros, the Bowmanville, Ontario native served the Goulding Park Rangers midget *AA* team (ages 16-17) for two years as an assistant captain. During the 1998-99 campaign, the 5-9 winger tallied 18 goals and 17 assists in 55 games with the squad. She also served as a two-year assistant captain of the Scarborough Sharks *A* team (ages 14-15) after spending two years as captain of Newcastle United Girls Hockey at the *C* level (ages 11-13). For Bowmanville High School, Rickard captained her team the last two years and has played on the squad since ninth grade.
A standout soccer talent, Rickard played three years of high school soccer. A goalkeeper, she helped her Scarborough Azzuri of the Central Girls Soccer League to the Under-18 Ontario Cup Championship in a shootout.
"Karen is a strong, explosive skater and a great competitor,* said coach Julie Sasner. *We expect her to make an immediate impact on our program. She seeks challenges and continues to raise her level of play every year. We are excited for her to join us."
Rickard brings this year*s recruiting class to four. Forward Meghan Hunter (Oil Springs, Ont.), forward Stephanie Millar (Hudson, Wis.) and defender Nicole Uliasz (Perkasie, Penn.) all signed during the early signing period in November.
Rickard becomes the third Canadian to sign in program history along with current Badger Kendra Antony (Yorkton, Sask.) and Hunter.
The Badgers completed the 19999-00 season with a 19-14-2 record and a third-place finish in the seven-team Western Collegiate Hockey Association. The Badgers also finished ninth in the US College Hockey Online*s Pairwise Rankings in just their first season of play.
