Subject: Shock Doctor

Hello everyone I was just wondering if anyone out there can tell me if
they have used the mouth gaurd known as the Shock Doctor. I have a
history of cuncussions and was told that a mouth gaurd would be a good
idea. I have tryed one before and had a tendency to gag on it. However I
was told the design of the Shock Doctor reduces this. Can anyone confirm
this or deny this.

Thanks

I use the Shock Doctor. It is better than the regular boil-n'-bite ones
and it has a dental insurance coverage up to some decent amount of money.

But, it still makes me gag, although less than the regular ones.

I am saving up for a custom one from my dentist.
With a custom one, there should be NO gaging.

You can get it in different colors and you can mix colors too.

I say this because I noticed that several of the women on the Olympic team were
wearing them. They are distinctive because they can be in stripes of colors.

Just a (humorous) warning if you decide to go for the stripes. Don't
make the middle one white. My daughter thought blue and white (team
colors) would be cool and they were - until she put it in her mouth.
It made her look like Bugs Bunny. She doesn't wear it anymore,
because it had no strap, and they're now required (I'm not sure if
that's a state or national rule change), so she switched to the shock
doctor and likes it.

I am in search of a college to attend next year and have seen division 1 and 3
women ice hockey teams. I was told by a friend that there was a division 2
league. I was wondering if she is correct and if she is who belongs to it.

Also if any of you have any sites that would help me please let me know.

Thank you

I use the shock doctor. It was gagging me at first. Then I took a pair of
scissors and but the back down quite a bit so that it only went about
halfway to the back of my teeth and not all the way to my tonsils. Also you
do know that you can mold it to your teeth by placeing it in hot water and
soften it up and then place it in your mouth and bite right?

Hi-
My team needs a goalie and 5 extra players to show up at our team practices in
order for our lines to practice together. We practice every Thursday night,
9:00 p.m. (excepting holiday eves & holidays) at a Boston rink. We'd like to
be able to count on these extra bodies to show up on a regular basis. If you
are interested, please e-mail me and I will give you the details.

There is a book called Women's College Hockey guide that lists all colleges
with teams, including teams that will soon be added as a NCAA Division team.
In one of the sections, it also highlights how difficult each of the schools
is. If you can't find it in your local bookstore, just go to Amzon.com. I
too am in the situation of choosing a college with a women's team, and found
this book extremely helpful.
