With the USA Hockey Women's Nation Team Pre-Olympic Tour game in Minneapolis on December 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Mariucci Arena, University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Girls' & Women's Hockey Association would like to announce:

In conjunction with this event, the MGWHA, a member of the Minnesota Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), is sponsoring a benefit dinner and silent auction on Wednesday, December 3, 1997, at the Radisson Hotel Metrodome, 615 Washington Avenue SE, Minneapolis. The social hour and silent auction will take place from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., with dinner at 7:00 p.m. The USA Women's National Team will be in attendance at the dinner.

Minnesota at the present time has three players competing for positions on the Women's Olympic Team. The parents of the players have learned that the price of the trip to Nagano, Japan, to watch their daughters play hockey will be between $8,000 and $10,000 per person. MGWHA is sponsoring this benefit event to help raise runds to assist the parents in attending the Winter Olympic Games.

Your $35.00 tax deductible donation (payable to MAHA) will provide you with dinner, an opportunity to meet the members of the USA Women's National Team, and place bids on numerous items at the silent auction. If you are unable to attend the dinner but would like to donate an auction item, please feel free to contact Dorene at my e-mail address. You donation is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you at the dinner and auction on December 3, and the hockey game on December 4. Dorene

I was wondering if anyone is going to be at the Mt
Clemens hockey tournament this coming weekend. I
would like to know if you are, what team you'll be
playing on. I have a schedule, so I dont need any
more info.

In my most recent Hockey News issue it states that Danielle Dube went to
Shannon Miller before the final game in Kitchener and told her she couldn't
play because of the pressure. It also states that Manon is having an
outstanding camp. Could this possibly mean the return of Manon to Team
Canada??? I wonder if Miller will take Dube's "pressure" situation in to
account when making the final cuts. Anyone have any opinions on this??

Secondly, does anyone know where one can order the Team USA photo pictured
in the October issue of American Hockey Magazine??
