In my experience, I began with women's shoulder pads (Cooper) however
probably didn't need them at the time, went to men's (didn't work stuck
out mostly horizontal), and now back to women's (do need them now). I
currently have the 96 Cooper's which are the same as the 97 Bauer's. I
do find them comfortable but have two complaints the shoulder pads are
like football players and the plastic guard inside the pads at the chest
area caused me to have the wind knocked out of me once. So for some of
us women's shoulder pads are not a gimmick.

I one thing I would like to see in the equipment, is pants with built in
pelvic protector. Why if hockey pants are being made specifically for
women can't that be included. It really stinks when you get all dressed
and realize you forgot to put on the pelvic protector.

Has anyone else heard that USA plays Canada in Anchorage, AK on Jan 27?
I heard this back a couple of months ago, then haven't heard anything
since. Any updates?
